Bergdorf Goodman Christmas 57th Street Windows

I had the pleasure of creating for Bergdorf Goodman all of the 57th Street Christmas window backdrops and painted props. The theme was "Equestrian" with various horse show/carousel elements seen throughout a loose narrative. I made a total of 8 large murals, and painted a number of various horse props. It took months to complete and is thus far my largest project for them. Click images to enlarge!

Rothko Inspired Triptych

I was asked to create a Rothko inspired triptych for a client's home in upstate NY. I had previously created an abstract painting for his office based on his artist preferences and color tastes. This time around he wanted the color to reflect the sunset over the Long Island Sound.

Fashion's Night Out 2011 at Bergdorf Goodman

Hand painted signs used to introduce each live window performance to the sidewalk audience.

They had me dress up and perform as a Lumberjack on 5th avenue.

Tree Sculpture for Beehives & Buzz Cuts

Andrea Mason Design had me design and construct a large tree sculpture to be used in Karolyn Massey's fun new kids salon Beehives & Buzz Cuts. The tree is skim coated in durable resin so kids can knock it around and the knots in the tree are magnet board.

I was approached by SUNO's set designer to create Hawaiian themed flat set pieces which utilized the key colors from the SUNO resort collection. Items like palm and banana trees, hibiscus flowers and leis were juxtaposed with humorous items like a giant pineapple, a pig roast and a banana peel.

In line with the Alexander McQueen retrospective currently up at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Bergdorf decided to dedicate a series of 5th Avenue windows to the designer. The window I worked on is shown below and utilizes a forced perspective doorway prop. David Hoey had me create a custom melted-oily-woodgrain wall treatment. I also hid several nude woman floating throughout the wall...

Tattooed Mannequin for Gaultier Corset

Barney's Spring Accessories Catalogue

For Barney's spring accessories catalogue I created various backdrop and lay down paper works, using an awl and various puncturing tools. Patterns, geometry and whimsical organic shapes were used to emphasize the light hearted airy spring feel of the merchandise.
