SUNO resort 2012
I was approached by SUNO's set designer to create Hawaiian themed flat set pieces which utilized the key colors from the SUNO resort collection. Items like palm and banana trees, hibiscus flowers and leis were juxtaposed with humorous items like a giant pineapple, a pig roast and a banana peel.

Alexander McQueen at Bergdorf Goodman
In line with the Alexander McQueen retrospective currently up at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Bergdorf decided to dedicate a series of 5th Avenue windows to the designer. The window I worked on is shown below and utilizes a forced perspective doorway prop. David Hoey had me create a custom melted-oily-woodgrain wall treatment. I also hid several nude woman floating throughout the wall...

Tattooed Mannequin for Gaultier Corset
Bergdorf Goodman wanted to boldly feature a window with a mannequin wearing a Gaultier corset from his new collection. They had me hand paint full body tattoos on a realistic mannequin in a Sailor Jerry Americana style.
Barney's Spring Accessories Catalogue
For Barney's spring accessories catalogue I created various backdrop and lay down paper works, using an awl and various puncturing tools. Patterns, geometry and whimsical organic shapes were used to emphasize the light hearted airy spring feel of the merchandise.

Real Simple Magazine "Fall's Ladylike Style"
A stylist for Real Simple magazine had me working with the very hands-on photographer Melvin Sokolsky who has been working in the industry since the 60's and has a signature installation based photographic style. He is best known for a series of photographs from a Harper's 1963 "Bubble" shoot, where he had a model floating over the river Seine in Paris. For this shoot he worked with an amazing set designer, creating a structure reminiscent of late 1980's architecture. I created an aged teal wall treatment which resembled mossy concrete. This juxtaposed against the classic 50's fashions gave the styling a modern feel.
Esquire Fall Plaster Wall treatment
The photographer wanted a wall treatment reminiscent of the aged crumbling plaster of a 17th century Croft house. He was inspired by Chardin's still life paintings and asked for a similar look. At the end of the shoot, the photographer and prop stylist took some black & white art shots just for fun.

Douglas Little's special "Soap Opera" windows for the 100 year anniversary of J.S. Douglas Stores in Germany

Douglas Little flew me to Hamburg to work on his very elaborate and detailed windows celebrating the 100 year existence of the J. S. Douglas stores in Europe. As the painting specialist I worked on everything from backdrops to props. The work was intense and there was a camera crew filming the entire process. You can see clips of me at 3:02, 3:40, 6:20, 6:45 and at 9:09. (At 3:79 you can watch a funny segment regarding a dilemma I helped us get out of involving a 374 piece laser cut tree.) Over all the resulting windows were exquisite and Douglas's genius shone through!

John Rombola style Bergdorf 5th Ave Windows
The 5th Avenue windows were inspired by the work of John Rombola. I interpreted his two dimensional drawings and made whimsical three dimensional sculptures. It was a challenge taking something flat and reinventing it as a sculpture but the results were seamless when layered in with his actual pieces. The windows were a hit and were up for twice as long as expected. I also created the landscape wall mural in the top right image.
